About the role

We are looking for a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented QFS Intern to join our Food Safety team and contribute to contaminant risk assessment projects that support product safety across our global portfolio.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of food safety, toxicology, regulatory science, and risk management. You will support the evaluation of regulated and emerging contaminants, helping translate complex scientific information into practical risk assessment outputs that support business and product safety decisions.

You will independently lead a contaminant risk assessment project focused on substances such as pesticides, heavy metals, and other emerging contaminants. Your work will involve reviewing scientific literature, evaluation reports from authorities such as WHO, EFSA, and FDA, and compiling toxicological thresholds, exposure reference values, and risk characterization approaches into a structured framework.

A key part of the internship will be supporting the development and validation of a contaminant risk assessment tool that can be used to improve the consistency, efficiency, and scalability of contaminant assessments across the organization. Through case studies you will help strengthen food safety risk management processes and contribute to ongoing category and risk perception activities.

You will work closely with the Food Safety team while also collaborating with colleagues in Quality and Regulatory Affairs. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to industry food safety risk assessment while working on projects with direct impact on product safety, risk management, and business decision-making within an international FMCG environment.

You will also take part in the intern challenge, collaborating with other interns on a shared project during your internship.
