WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As part of the Finance Department, the Regulatory Reporting team ensures Trade Republic has the liquidity and capital required to contribute to a healthy financial system. You'll work at the intersection of regulation and data engineering — helping us move from manual processes to scalable, automated reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the automation of regulatory reports submitted to the Bundesbank and central banks for our branches — including building and improving data pipelines that reduce manual effort
  • Using SQL and Python to perform data quality checks, identify anomalies, and improve the reliability of our reporting datasets
  • Contributing to the development of our regulatory reporting software by supporting data analysis, requirements scoping, and automated testing across the full delivery cycle
  • Exploring how AI-assisted tools can improve efficiency within the reporting workflow
  • Documenting automated workflows and writing clear process descriptions to support knowledge sharing across the team

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Curiosity about data systems and automation — you want to understand how things work and find smarter ways to do them
  • Interest in banking regulation and financial markets (knowledge of regulatory frameworks like CRR/CRD is a plus, but not required)
  • Strong SQL skills; Python experience is a significant plus
  • Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets — and ideally a desire to move beyond them
  • Exposure to or genuine curiosity about AI/ML tools in a professional or academic context
  • Available for at least 6 months, currently pursuing or having completed a Bachelor's or Master's in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Proficient in English; German is a strong advantage
