Job Description

Position Purpose: 

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Automotive Summer Intern to assist with basic vehicle maintenance, shop organization, and customer service support. This is a great opportunity for students or individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the automotive industry.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Assist technicians with basic tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Move vehicles in and out of service bays (if licensed).
  • Support inventory organization and parts handling.
  • Follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines.

Work Environment:

  • Comfortable working in a shop environment (heat, noise, etc.)

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background: 

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Interest in automotive repair or mechanics.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training: 

  • Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs.

Additional Information

Benefits: Interns are considered temporary employees. Medical and basic life insurance coverage is available to temporary employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week immediately following 60 days of service. Employees must elect or waive medical coverage within 45 days of their eligibility date. Veolia observes 11 holidays.
