JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Prestige Healthcare Resources Inc. is seeking a motivated and analytical AI & Data Analytics Intern to support healthcare technology innovation, operational reporting, workflow optimization, and AI-driven automation initiatives across our behavioral health organization.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to healthcare IT operations, analytics, artificial intelligence, workflow automation, and electronic health record (EHR) systems in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically curious, data-driven, and eager to apply analytical and AI skills to real-world healthcare operations.


 

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development using tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and Python
  • Support operational reporting initiatives related to intake, billing, authorizations, compliance, and clinical workflows
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Help validate and clean organizational data used for regulatory and operational reporting

AI & Automation Initiatives

  • Assist with research, testing, and implementation of AI-driven workflow automation tools
  • Support projects involving AI-assisted documentation, data extraction, and process automation
  • Participate in workflow mapping and automation planning sessions
  • Assist with evaluating AI solutions for healthcare operational use cases
  • Assist with AI automation initiatives related to authorization workflows and Comagine operational processes

Healthcare Technology & EHR Support

  • Learn and support workflows within healthcare systems such as EHRs, authorization platforms, and reporting systems
  • Assist with documenting system workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process guides
  • Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to understand workflow challenges and recommend technical solutions
  • Assist with development and workflow optimization efforts within the eClinicalWorks (eCW) EHR system
  • Support testing, workflow validation, and operational process improvement initiatives tied to eCW implementation and development

Project & Operational Support

  • Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams including Intake, Billing, Clinical, Compliance, and IT
  • Support special projects related to digital transformation and operational efficiency
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for leadership review
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and organizational security standards

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
    • Information Systems
    • Computer Science
    • Data Analytics
    • Business Analytics
    • Information Technology
    • Related field
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following:
    • Python
    • SQL
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Excel
    • APIs
    • AI/ML tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Experience with dashboards or reporting tools
  • Experience working with structured datasets
  • Exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, LangChain, or machine learning projects
  • Familiarity with workflow automation concepts
  • Basic understanding of databases and data management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK 

This is a Full Time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Week 1–2

  • Orientation to healthcare workflows
  • HIPAA/security training
  • Learn Credible, eClinicalWorks (eCW), and Comagine ecosystem
  • Shadow intake and revenue cycle workflows
  • Understand BHSD and operational reporting requirements

Week 3–6

  • Assist with eClinicalWorks (eCW) workflow development and optimization
  • Participate in healthcare workflow mapping and system improvement initiatives
  • Support analytics, reporting, and dashboard projects
  • Assist with operational documentation and process standardization

Week 7–10

  • Assist with AI automation initiatives for authorizations and Comagine workflows
  • Support AI-assisted workflow optimization and operational automation projects
  • Build reports, dashboards, and process improvement recommendations
  • Participate in digital transformation and operational efficiency initiatives

Final Deliverable

  • Executive presentation
