Position Summary:

ultrafocused – Work together to fearlessly uncover new possibilities

Ultragenyx is seeking a highly motivated summer intern to support the GTX-102 Launch Excellence and Commercial Operations team. This internship will provide direct exposure to the strategic, operational, and cross-functional workstreams that support rare disease launch preparation.

The intern will partner closely with the GTX-102 Launch Lead and collaborate across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Analytics, Patient Advocacy, Commercial Operations, and Program Management. This role is designed to provide both a meaningful developmental experience for the intern and operational support for the organization through strategic project work and launch planning activities.

Work Model: 

Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Support GTX-102 launch readiness activities, including tracking key milestones, workstreams, and operational deliverables
  • Develop dashboards, trackers, executive summaries, and strategic materials to support cross-functional launch planning
  • Assess competitive intelligence, market landscape, and rare disease insights to support strategic discussions and decision-making
  • Support cross-functional coordination across Commercial, Medical, Analytics, Market Access, and Advocacy teams
  • Deliver a capstone internship project and final presentation highlighting key insights and recommendations

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, MPH, or related advanced degree
  • Strong interest in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare strategy, or commercial operations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, dashboards, reporting, or analytics tools
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and strong collaboration skills

The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. This range reflects the characteristics of the job, such as required skills and qualifications and is based on the office location noted in this job posting. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.


This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.
