About the Role:
The Stockroom Intern plays a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of the stockroom by assisting with inventory management, organization, and logistics. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in stockroom operations, including receiving, sorting, and storing merchandise accurately and promptly. The intern will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized stockroom environment, ensuring that all items are easily accessible for team members. Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a high school or college program.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Ability to lift and move stock items safely, up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, warehousing, or stockroom environments.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or databases.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols related to stock handling and storage.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with receiving and unpacking incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Organize and stock merchandise in designated areas to maintain an orderly stockroom.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in updating inventory records accurately.
- Support the preparation of items for distribution or sales floor replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the stockroom environment.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve stock discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with the use of inventory management software to track stock levels and movements.
