About the role: The junior accountant intern/coop will have opportunities to expose to full accounting cycle and assist the senior financial analyst on recording business transactions and analyzing business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in checking and reviewing employee reimbursement reports in Concur.
- Check and review vendor set up form and verify HST on CRA website. Set up Vendor in accounting system.
- Check invoice information and save it in the corresponding folder.
- Assist in validating Concur invoice submission to ensure HST information and receipts are valid.
- Collect credit card transaction invoices save in corresponding folder.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required (including but not limit to: Assist in Book entries for USD tracker; Book entries for short-term investment; Monthly roll over short-term investment; Update exchange rate every month)
What you need to succeed
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student in a post-secondary program, majoring in Accounting or Finance related field
- Available to begin the role in September 2026, with an expected commitment of approximately 8 months.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Adaptable and able to work efficiently in a rapidly changing business landscape
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
