ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Assist with creating and scheduling social media posts
- Capture photos and video content for marketing purposes
- Assist with editing short-form videos and graphics
- Support the promotion of fundraising events and community activities
- Help maintain content calendars for social media platforms
- Monitor social media engagement and audience interaction
- Assist with preparing promotional materials and flyers
- Support community outreach and event setup activities
- Assist with updating the website and digital content as assigned
- Participate in brainstorming and creative content discussions
- Help organize marketing files, photos, and digital assets
- Travel locally to events and community activities as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:
The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:
- Current college student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Media, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
- Interest in nonprofit marketing and social media
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- An understanding of social media trends
- Proficient with Microsoft 365, Adobe Express, Canva, CapCut or other video editing software, and social media platforms
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Physical demands: Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additionally, the employee:
- Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time (up to two hours)
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in an office setting. Indoor environmental conditions will vary according to the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
