About the Role

Description

The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and operational support to the HR team in a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment. This role assists with employee records, onboarding paperwork, compliance tracking, and day-to-day HR operations while gaining exposure to core HR functions including workforce support, regulatory compliance, and process execution.

Requirements

  

Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Maintain and organize employee records and HR documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality
  • Assist with onboarding processes, including preparing new hire packets, coordinating orientation logistics, and tracking completion of required documentation
  • Support maintenance of personnel files, including onboarding paperwork, compliance forms, and employment records
  • Perform data entry and updates in HR systems to ensure employee information is current and accurate
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the HR team in a high-volume, hourly workforce environment
  • Respond to basic employee inquiries and direct questions to appropriate HR team members as needed
  • Assist with compliance tracking, including safety training, certifications, and audit readiness documentation
  • Support HR projects, audits, and process improvements as assigned
  • Maintain documentation related to timekeeping, attendance, and workforce reporting

  • Interact professionally with employees across all levels, including hourly workforce

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Data entry, recordkeeping, and document control skills
  • Ability to review and organize large volumes of information efficiently
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies in data or documentation
  • Ability to learn and navigate HRIS  and timekeeping systems
  • Organizational and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment
  • Customer service orientation with a professional and responsive approach
  • Basic understanding of workplace documentation standards and compliance requirements

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
