At Saxo we believe that when you invest, you unlock a new curiosity for the world around you. Discovering an intuitive desire within to actively learn, explore, and ask questions, you will engage with new companies, new communities, maybe even new countries. You could call this an appetite or passion for new knowledge and skills. We call it curiosity. Ultimately everything we do as a company is focused on getting curious people invested in the world by giving our clients more ways to make more of their money. We began in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1992 with a clear vision: to make the global financial markets accessible for more people. In 1998, we launched one of the first online trading platforms in Europe, providing professional-grade tools and easy access to global financial markets for anyone who wanted to invest. Today we are a well-capitalised Danish (EU) bank with top capital ratios and positive rating from S&P, trusted by over 1.2 million clients. As an international award-winning investment firm for investors and traders who are serious about investing, our clients enjoy regulated and reliable access to over 71,000 financial instruments on our industry-leading platforms. Keeping our headquarters in our beloved Denmark, we have expanded our reach to having more than 70 nationalities employed in offices in 14 countries. We are proud of our Scandinavian heritage and we are committed to the values of trust, fairness, and security. We believe this gives our clients the confidence to be adventurous and curious. Curiosity can lead you to places you never could have imagined. When you invest, you stimulate the mind, you see new perspectives, and you broaden your horizons. Personal transformation is inevitable as you develop a sincere interest and curiosity for not only the world, but also for others. At Saxo our greatest hope is for everyone to become engaged, to feel empowered, and to Be Invested.
About the Role

Are you a student with a strong interest in data and a desire to gain hands-on experience in data governance and quality within a leading financial institution? Saxo Bank is looking for a Student Data Quality Assistant to join our Client Data Governance team and help strengthen our client data foundation.

About the Role

In this role, you will contribute to ensuring that our client data is accurate, well-structured, and properly governed. You will support the implementation of data controls, assist with process documentation, and collaborate with colleagues across the organization. This is a great opportunity to gain insight into how data supports regulatory compliance, risk management, and business decision-making in a global bank.

You will work closely with experienced data professionals who are committed to supporting your learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Student Data Quality Assistant, you will:

  • Support data quality improvement initiatives by preparing analyses, reports, and overviews.
  • Assist in identifying and documenting data quality rules and contribute to basic risk assessments and target setting.
  • Help document and maintain governance processes related to client data throughout its lifecycle.
  • Identify data quality and consistency issues and support the implementation and follow-up of improvement actions.
  • Contribute to monitoring and reporting on data quality by developing dashboards, metrics, and insights that support adherence to governance policies.

Your Profile

You are currently pursuing a relevant degree (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or Mathematics) and are eager to apply your skills in a real-world context. You have at least one year remaining in your studies, preferably more.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong interest in data, data quality, and how data drives business decisions.
  • Is comfortable working with data using tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Excel (experience with one or more is an advantage but not required).
  • Is curious about learning platforms such as Databricks (prior experience is a plus).
  • Works in a structured and detail-oriented manner, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Communicates clearly in English and enjoys collaborating with colleagues across diverse teams.
  • Is proactive, inquisitive, and open to feedback.

Relevant experience from student jobs, internships, or academic projects (e.g., working with databases, reporting, or data analysis) is an advantage, but not essential. Most importantly, you are motivated to learn and grow within data quality and governance.

Application

We review applications on an ongoing basis and are looking for a motivated student who is eager to contribute and grow within our Client Data Governance team at Saxo Bank.
