ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary objectives of the Geocycle intern are to support the market and sales Geocycle team in analyzing current processes, KPIs and identify continual improvement opportunities. The primary focus is to support the team in market development, collecting market intelligence, producing market studies along with reviewing and updating financial records.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Review and analyze current processes, identify performance improvement opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Serve as a role model in the areas of safety, leadership, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Support local businesses with Contractor Safety Management (CSM) compliance and training.
  • Research Industrial Associations and customer databases to identify potential job opportunities.
  • Prepare project files with full documentation for Area Manager review.
  • Track project status, potential volumes, bidders, and competitors; report on Backlog and bid success rates.
  • Establish and track macro market indicators and document competitor activity.
  • Assess competitor behaviors and strengths/weaknesses and perform extensive competitor profiles.
  • Review and analyze financial results and update Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivables (AR)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program.
  • Field of Study Preferred: Business.
  • Work Experience: Less than 3 years.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and SAP Applications.
  • Certifications: Valid drivers license.
  • Travel: Requirements are <5%.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with Geocycle, waste, or cement industries is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of waste management cycles.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
