About the Role

Commencing in early 2027, we are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a neurology Intern to join our team and learn from the best in the field.

VRH is a purpose-built, world class facility with modern sophisticated equipment and over 80 clinical and support staff, all focused on providing world class patient care in a supportive, learning environment.

What To Expect
As a neurology Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside three European boarded neurologists, two registrars and one resident. You'll gain hands-on experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of neurological conditions in small animals. The neurology team is backed up by a 1.5T in house MRI scanner (GE), 16 slice CT scanner, electrodiagnostic facilities and cutting-edge neurosurgery suite with ultrasonic aspirator. This internship will give you access to cutting-edge diagnostic tools and technology and is designed to provide you with in-depth exposure to the field, setting you up for a successful career in veterinary neurology.

You should have:

  • A Veterinary degree registerable in Victoria
  • Completed a rotating internship
  • A strong interest in neurology and a desire to pursue a career in this specialty.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • A commitment to the highest standards of patient care.
