AI Engineer Intern

Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking an AI Engineer Intern to join the AI Team and support AI education, adoption, and engagement efforts across the organization. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, and helping people understand how AI can improve the way they work.

The intern will work directly with the AI Team and partner with DPR senior leaders and teams to help educate employees on AI capabilities, emerging trends, and practical business applications. All activities and initiatives will be aligned with the AI Team’s strategy, priorities, governance, and adoption goals across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the AI Team to support strategic AI initiatives and adoption efforts
• Work as part of the AI Team to support the development and execution of AI initiatives, including building AI agents and models.
• Partner with DPR Employees and teams to support AI education and awareness activities
• Help employees understand AI concepts, tools, and practical business applications
• Demonstrate AI tools and assist teams in exploring AI use cases and opportunities aligned with AI Team priorities
• Support workshops, training sessions, and AI enablement programs
• Research emerging AI technologies, trends, and industry applications relevant to DPR
• Collaborate with the AI Team on pilot initiatives, innovation efforts, and continuous improvement activities
• Work as part of the AI team in executing projects, building agents, models.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
• Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and emerging technologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable engaging with business leaders and cross functional teams
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical way
