About the Role
Overview

Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is excited to partner with Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) to identify top HBCU talent for the 2026 TMCF WSIA Exploration Experience, taking place July 8, 2026, at the 2026 TMCF Devcon Zone 2 in Houston, Texas. WSIA is a world-class member service organization representing the entirety of the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines industry. WSIA is dedicated to developing and strengthening the industry and provides members unparalleled:

  • Networking
  • Education
  • Talent recruitment and development initiatives
  • Regulatory and legislative advocacy
  • Promotion of wholesale value

WSIA is seeking ambitious students with unique talents, diverse perspectives, and a passion for innovation. They are committed to developing future leaders who will help shape the future of the insurance and risk management industry.

 

Through this exclusive partnership, 15 highly qualified students will be selected to participate in a one-day exploration experience, providing behind-the-scenes access to WSIA, meaningful networking opportunities with industry professionals, and insight into internship and career pathways.

Responsibilities

Applicants must be a participant of the 2026 TMCF Devcon Houston Zone 2 program.

Qualifications

 

  • TMCF Formatted Resume
  • Be a Freshman (2028) or Sophomore (2029) at the time of application

  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Be enrolled at a Devcon HTX Zone 2 college or university

  • Be available to travel and fully participate in the immersion experience in mid-July 2026

  • Be available to travel and fully participate in the WSIA Internship Summer 2027

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
