The EDC branch office in Singapore serves as a hub for the Indo-Pacific region.  The branch allows us to more effectively support our Asian and Canadian customers as they go, grow and succeed internationally.     

Student and New Grad Opportunities

Our student and new grad opportunities include internships and co-op programs, all designed to give your career a strong start. Internships begin at six months in length and may be extended for an additional six months or more, depending on business needs. Roles are full time.

Our program is ideal for early career professionals who are new grads that have completed their courses within the past year, as well as students in their current program of study. Internships in our programme may be eligible for academic credit, depending on your university’s requirements.

The opportunity to build cross-functional professional networks, identify and pursue opportunities for improvement and innovation, and continuously learn and grow through coaching and mentoring from professionals throughout EDC. Work in a high-performing, fast-paced and flexible environment.

Apply to this pool if you are a student or new grad who is:

  • Studying or recently graduated from a program with a focus in finance, commerce, marketing & communications, project management, technology and analytics or related.

  • Interested in a wide variety of roles within a large organization.

  • Looking to gain experience in a Canadian financial Crown corporation, owned by the federal government and develop foundational skills for your career in business. 

Our Ideal Student or New Grad:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program (eligible for up to one year after completion of studies).

  • Available for 6 months or more - While roles will be available for 6-month terms, preference will be given to candidates with availability that extends.

  • Previous work term experience related to their field of study

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Motivated self-starter, good organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Enthusiasm to tackle any task, whether menial or complex

Compensation Details:

  • Student, New Grad & Master’s salaries range from SGD 31,492.50 to SGD 50,000 annually, based on year of study.

Location: 

  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, with a current requirement of two in-office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change).

  • Please be advised that this position is based at our Singapore branch office located at the Marina Bay Financial Centre, Singapore. 

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (mandatory)

  • Proficiency in at least one Asian language (Mandarin, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesian, Malay, Korean, Thai, Tagalog, or Vietnamese) (mandatory)

Selected candidates will be contacted on a rolling basis between June to August.
