About The Company
Who are we? ASML is an innovation leader in the global semiconductor industry. We make machines that chipmakers use to mass produce microchips. Founded in 1984 in the Netherlands with just a handful of employees, we’ve now grown to over 40,000 employees, 143 nationalities and more than 60 locations around the world. What do we do? We provide chipmakers with hardware, software and services to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography. Our lithography systems use ultraviolet light to create billions of tiny structures on silicon that together make up a microchip. We push our technology to new limits to enable our customers to create smaller, faster and more powerful chips. Who are our people? While you may think that only engineers and mathematicians work at ASML, you'll be surprised to find out that our people come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Across ASML, we have dedicated teams that manage customer support, communications and media, IT, software development and more. Every team in the company is essential for pushing our technology and the industry forward. If you love to tackle challenges and innovate in a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment with all the flexibility and freedom to unleash your full potential, ASML is the place to be. About the Role

Introduction

Are you interested in digital collaboration, user experience, and understanding how people work with information? Would you like to make a real impact by shaping how a department collaborates and shares knowledge?

Within our Analytics, Data & Performance Management (ADPM) capability group, we are looking for an intern who will help us bring structure, consistency, and clarity to our SharePoint landscape.

ADPM is a capability group within the Infrastructure Architecture and Security department within Customer Support Central Services. ADPM consists of several sub-capabilities, each with its own SharePoint page, and in some cases multiple pages. Over time, this has led to differences in structure, look and feel, and ways of documenting information. Your assignment will be to help us unify these SharePoint environments into a coherent, user-friendly whole.

Your Assignment

As an intern, you will work at the intersection of people, processes and technology. The focus of the internship is not only technical, but also strongly people-oriented.

Your main activities will include:

  • Interviewing colleagues across the ADPM department to understand:
    • How they currently use SharePoint.
    • Their way of working and documenting information.
    • Their expectations and needs for SharePoint going forward.

  • Analyzing the current SharePoint landscape within ADPM and its connection to the broader CS Central organization:
    • Different structures, layouts, and documentation styles.
    • Strengths, pain points, and overlaps between pages.
    • Check if the underlying links in the Sharepoint pages are still the appropriate ones.

  • Creating an overarching ADPM SharePoint page:
    • Serving as a central entry point.
    • Enabling easy navigation to sub-capability SharePoint pages.

  • Designing a unified SharePoint concept for ADPM:
    • A consistent look & feel across sub-capabilities as well as the main ADPM SharePoint page.
    • Clear navigation and user-friendly structure.

  • Translating user needs into practical SharePoint solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders.

Depending on your background and interests, there is room to shape the technical depth or focus more strongly on user experience and information architecture.

During this internship, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience with SharePoint design and governance.
  • Develop strong interviewing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Learn how to translate diverse user needs into a coherent digital solution.
  • Work in a professional environment focused on analytics, data, and performance management.
  • Deliver a tangible result that will be used by the department.

Your Profile

To be a great match for this internship you:

  • Are a bachelor student in Information Management, Business IT, UX, Communication, Digital Design, or similar.
  • Enjoy talking to people and understanding how they work.
  • Have an interest in digital collaboration tools (experience with SharePoint is a plus, but not required).
  • Think structurally and have an eye for usability and consistency.
  • Are comfortable working independently and taking ownership of an assignment.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
