Position Summary:

The integration of current coursework into an internship bridges the gap between academic study and professional practice, forming a bidirectional learning cycle. This process allows interns to apply theoretical frameworks to real-world challenges while using professional experiences to refine and deepen their understanding of academic concepts.

Internship Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

The intern will receive training in GPCR-related research including 1) molecular cloning, 2) receptor expression, and 3) pharmacological characterizations using various approaches.

Expected Outcomes:

By the end of the training, the intern should be able to implement basic protocols with minimal correction, identify key questions to support a successful assay run, and name the most common mistakes in assay implementation..
