About the Role

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a ETO Engineering Co-op.

This co-op position is scheduled to start in Fall 2026, or Spring 2027

The hourly rate for this position is 24.92 per hour.

What you’ll do:

As an ETO Engineering Co-op, you will be responsible for development and execution of customer-centric solutions for NEC markets. This role requires strong communication skills, ambition, drive, and extensive engineering experience, along with enthusiasm for product design. Responsibilities include designing to special customer requests through Engineered to Order (ETO) product designs, providing manufacturing support for manufacture of ETO designs, and offering technical leadership for ongoing customer inquiries. Reporting to the ETO Manager, you will independently develop and direct a broad range of product design projects, assuming responsibility for all technical project activities, including high-level product design elements. 

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
•    Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering at an accredited institution
•    Must be able to work full-time for a minimum five (5) month assignment starting in Fall 2026, or Spring 2027.
•    Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration,    O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
•    Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
•    Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY.
 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
•    Experience with 2D drawing creation/3D modeling (ACAD, SolidWorks/Enovia), ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft applications
•    Prior internship or co-op experience.
