About the Role

Field Service Engineer – Tamheer Trainee

Leica Biosystems | Danaher Diagnostics | Saudi Arabia

Position Summary

The Field Service Engineer – Tamheer Trainee will support Leica Biosystems’ service team in Saudi Arabia through practical field exposure, customer-site visits, preventive maintenance support, troubleshooting observation, documentation, and technical learning.

This Tamheer opportunity is designed for Saudi graduates who want to build a career in medical equipment service, diagnostics technology, and customer-facing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior Field Service Engineers during customer visits, installations, preventive maintenance, and service activities.
  • Assist in basic troubleshooting, equipment checks, and technical inspections under supervision.
  • Help prepare tools, spare parts, service documents, and customer visit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate service records, visit notes, maintenance checklists, and training documentation.
  • Learn Leica Biosystems equipment, pathology laboratory workflows, and customer support processes.
  • Follow company safety, quality, compliance, and customer-site procedures.
  • Support customer communication professionally and help ensure a positive service experience.
  • Participate in training, shadowing, and technical development activities during the Tamheer program.
  • Contribute to small process-improvement activities related to service readiness, documentation, or team coordination.

Requirements

  • Saudi national eligible for the Tamheer program.
  • Fresh graduate or early-career candidate.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Medical Equipment Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Good communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Strong interest in medical diagnostics, field service, and healthcare technology.
  • Willingness to learn, travel for customer visits, and work in a field-based environment.
  • Good computer skills and ability to follow technical procedures.
  • Saudi driving license is preferred.
