About the Role

THE INTERNSHIP 

 

You will have the chance to enter in contact with the pharmaceutical industry in a very dynamic and challenging environment: with this internship you will join the Legal Team of Boehringer Ingelheim in Milan. The Legal Team is dedicated to protecting the reputation of Boehringer in order to operate legally, morally and ethically as a business. To ensure Boehringer Ingelheim continues to be trusted and respected for the way we operate, the Company has guidelines that allow to being compliant with our legal, social, moral and ethical responsibilities of working.
The Legal Department supports all the internal functions (either in Human Pharma than in Animal Health businesses) in order to solve legal issues, managing contracts, providing creative, timely and solutions-oriented legal services, respecting rules and regulations both from a local and global perspective. You will have the opportunity to learn among all these areas supporting professionals at both the local and global level – definitely something new to learn every day!

 

Tasks & what you will be learning: 

 

You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in various aspects of law, working closely with the Legal Team and supporting the daily activities of the Legal Department. In particular

  • Supporting Legal Department in:
  1. drafting and reviewing contracts, privacy policies and other legal documents.
  2. management of local and global legal projects.
  3. privacy assessments.
  4. competition law topics including the implementation of the antitrust compliance program.
  5. preparation of legal trainings to BI employees and Third Parties (i.e. contract management, antitrust, privacy).
  6. conducting legal research and case analysis also applied to business projects.
  • Supporting Legal Department and Business Functions in the use of the tools associated to the contracts’ management (Cora/Efect/Docusign).
  • Supporting the execution of reporting activities focused on Legal activities, using internal Legal Tool (Matter Intake Tool) and based on specific KPIs defined in Legal Department.
  • Developing and updating Legal communication tools (e.g. Intranet, Yammer).

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Recently graduated in Law.
  • Digital skills (Excellence knowledge of Microsoft Office Package; knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Graphic Design Platform is a plus). 
  • Strong team working and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills. 
  • Basic knowledge of competition law, data protection legislation and GDPR.
  • Drive execution excellence through discipline, accountability and proactivity.
  • Confident in working simultaneously on multiple projects.
