About the role:As a pharmacy technician candidate, all work will be supervised closely and double checked. Work performed will include tasks such as labelling, packaging that is double checked; kit assembly that is double checked; putting away inventory and other duties as required that are within scope of the unlicensed technician.
What you bring:
- Graduated from an accredited Pharmacy technician program (CCAPP accredited = Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs)
- Membership with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, communication and teamwork
- Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic techniques, pharmaceutical arithmetic, and pharmaceutical terminology
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Demonstrated individual leadership skills
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated analytical and problem assessment skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients within a challenging and exciting health care environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public
- Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Demonstrates good communication skills, including strong documentation skills
- Demonstrates ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff and the community
- Engages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and community
- Demonstrates an understanding of sterile compounding procedures, safe handling of hazardous drugs, and the NAPRA standards.
- Other duties as assigned
