Overview

VOX Global, a strategic communications firm, is accepting applications for our Social Media fellowship based in our Washington, DC headquarters.
The fellowship is a paid, full-time position operating on a hybrid model of working in-person in our Washington, DC office three days a week and remotely two days a week. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in professional development trainings to grow their skills. High-performing fellows will also be considered for long-term opportunities to continue their careers with VOX Global.
Qualified applicants will be rising college seniors, or recent graduates with the necessary skills to assist with creative writing, research, social media analytics, and more. Strong interest in social media trends, executive thought leadership, and cultivating brand awareness and loyalty is strongly preferred.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. The rate is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.

Responsibilities

While no two days look the same, regular assignments include:

  • Drafting engaging short-form and long-form social content – primarily for LinkedIn, Instagram and Threads – on a variety of business and trending cultural topics 
  • Following social media trends and the news 
  • Monitoring and flagging news articles and online conversation relevant to the client(s)  
  • Pitching relevant, creative ideas to grow social engagement 
  • Tracking social media analytics 
  • Creating presentations for clients summarizing data insights, outcomes and implications 
  • Researching new opportunities to build relationships with influencers, brands and thought leaders online 

The fellowship will run for approximately six months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role based on performance. Our preferred start and end dates are June, 2026 - December, 2026 and the exact dates will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work 3 days in the Washington, DC office and 2 days remote.
  • Demonstrated interest in communications, public relations, public affairs, and/or related fields
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and write within distinct brand voices and guidelines
  • Experience drafting short-form and long-form content for social platforms (including copy for Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, X, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Familiarity using data to inform social media strategy and/or content creation 
  • Ability to translate technical topics into engaging content for a variety of audiences 
  • Interest in social media trends 
  • Interest in ideating and creating social media graphics and visual assets
