About the Role

Position Summary:

Contributes to the development of medical devices. Main responsibilities include developing tests, fixture design, product prototyping, documentation, and product performance testing

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product performance bench testing
  • Build or assemble prototype materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies
  • Modify product designs to evaluate ideas.
  • Construct, operate, troubleshoot, adjust, maintain and test equipment, systems or products
  • Develop tests for characterizing product
  • Perform testing and analyze data and write reports
  • Review or develop processing or manufacturing instructions
  • Maintain detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis
  • Record data following good documentation practices
  • Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision
  • Perform job functions in accordance with applicable GMP and ISO guidelines
  • Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws/standards
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Enrolled in a college level engineering or microbiology program
  • Demonstrated interest in Medical Device Development, Quality Systems, Inspection, or Quality Engineering
  • Computer skills including understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
