Intuitive Machines is seeking an in Intern to join our team in Greenbelt, MD.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a rising senior (entering final year) in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Software, or related discipline)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for NASA contractor site access)
- Must be available to work on-site in Greenbelt, Maryland for the duration of the internship
Technical Skills
- Foundational knowledge in core engineering principles relevant to discipline of study
- Proficiency in relevant engineering tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, CAD, Python, or discipline-specific applications)
- Familiarity with engineering documentation, design processes, and technical reporting
- Experience with lab work, research projects, or academic team projects a plus
- Knowledge of aerospace, robotics, or space systems a plus
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support development and optimization of AI infrastructure for robot software systems
- Assist in designing, testing, and deploying machine learning models for autonomous robotics applications
- Collaborate with engineers on software integration and system validation
- Document processes, code, and findings for team knowledge sharing
- Participate in sprint planning, team stand-ups, and design reviews
- Contribute to research and evaluation of emerging AI tools and frameworks relevant to robotics
