Intuitive Machines is seeking an in Intern to join our team in Greenbelt, MD.

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently enrolled as a rising senior (entering final year) in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Software, or related discipline)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for NASA contractor site access)
• Must be available to work on-site in Greenbelt, Maryland for the duration of the internship

Technical Skills

• Foundational knowledge in core engineering principles relevant to discipline of study
• Proficiency in relevant engineering tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, CAD, Python, or discipline-specific applications)
• Familiarity with engineering documentation, design processes, and technical reporting
• Experience with lab work, research projects, or academic team projects a plus
• Knowledge of aerospace, robotics, or space systems a plus

 Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support development and optimization of AI infrastructure for robot software systems
• Assist in designing, testing, and deploying machine learning models for autonomous robotics applications
• Collaborate with engineers on software integration and system validation
• Document processes, code, and findings for team knowledge sharing
• Participate in sprint planning, team stand-ups, and design reviews
• Contribute to research and evaluation of emerging AI tools and frameworks relevant to robotics
