About Everest

Everest is a global leader in risk management, rooted in a rich 50+ year heritage of enabling businesses to survive and thrive, and economies to function and flourish. We are underwriters of risk, growth, progress and opportunity. We are a global team focused on disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation for all stakeholders, and we care deeply about our impact on communities and the wider world.

Start Your Career in the Global Re/Insurance Market!

Join Everest’s Off-Cycle Internship Programme and gain hands-on exposure to the world of Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance.

This internship runs from August to December 2026, offering a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced underwriters during a key period of the underwriting cycle. You will gain real-world experience, build strong industry connections, and deepen your technical understanding of underwriting within a global organisation.

We recognise that students may have academic commitments during this time, and therefore offer flexibility — candidates should be available across the full programme period (August–December), with a blend of full-time and part-time availability depending on university schedules.

Your Impact & Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an intern to gain meaningful exposure within our Singapore Reinsurance team, supporting both Casualty and Property underwriting.

You will:

  • Support underwriters in the day-to-day underwriting process, including exposure analyses and information gathering

  • Assist in pre-qualifying submissions and preparing summaries for underwriting review

  • Work with internal trackers to classify submissions (e.g. quoted, declined) and contribute to reporting and data insights

  • Partner with the team on deal flow and pipeline management

  • Monitor rate change and portfolio tracking reports

  • Attend broker meetings and gain exposure to external market interactions

  • Participate in professional development sessions, networking events, and learning workshops

This internship is designed to give you both technical exposure and commercial insight, helping you build a strong foundation in underwriting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the team in expanding Everest’s business across Asia Pacific

  • Contribute to underwriting activities, including risk analysis, data input, and reporting

  • Assist in maintaining strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders

  • Support data management and operational processes across live deals

  • Undertake research, analysis, and broader business initiatives

What You Bring

  • Currently in your penultimate year of study

  • Must have permanent work authorisation in Singapore (Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident)

  • Available between August and December 2026 with flexibility to work full-time and/or part-time alongside academic commitments

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail

  • Confident working with numbers and identifying trends

  • Advanced Excel skills (knowledge of macros is beneficial)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn

Why Everest?

  • Real exposure to global underwriting and reinsurance markets

  • Opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals

  • Structured learning and development opportunities

  • A pathway to future opportunities, including our Rotational Development Programme

If you're looking to gain practical underwriting experience in a flexible, high-impact internship, we’d love to hear from you.

What if I don’t meet every requirement? At Everest we are dedicated to building an inclusive and authentic workplace.
