🔬Vous êtes diplômé(e) en sciences, en optique ou vous envisagez une carrière dans le domaine de la santé?

Le Cours sur les fondements cliniques est un programme d’introduction accéléré qui combine l’apprentissage autonome et l’observation en clinique. Il offre aux participants un aperçu des processus cliniques en ophtalmologie, tout en donnant à Groupe Vision une première occasion de créer des liens avec des candidats à fort potentiel.

Public cible 

Étudiants et diplômés d’un programme universitaire en sciences ou du DEC en Optique et Lunetterie ou ceux qui envisagent une carrière dans le domaine de la santé.

 
Format du programme 
  • Apprentissage à distance autonome : modules de courte durée complétés de façon asynchrone, permettant aux participants d’apprendre selon leur propre horaire.
  • Journées d’observation planifiées dans une clinique, par exemple 2 à 3 jours par semaine selon les besoins.
  • Calendrier accéléré : programme conçu pour se dérouler sur environ 2 semaines, pendant l’été.
  • Évaluation : courtes vérifications des connaissances, questionnaires et suivi de l’achèvement des modules. L’objectif est de favoriser l’engagement, sans créer de pression liée à l’évaluation.
Grands thèmes d’apprentissage
  • Évaluations ophtalmiques de base : introduction aux concepts derrière les examens courants, par exemple la pression intraoculaire, imageries oculaires avancées et l’évaluation visuelle de base.
  • Introduction aux examens diagnostiques couramment utilisés en ophtalmologie.  
  • Notions essentielles en pharmacologie : médicaments ophtalmiques fréquemment utilisés et leur rôle dans les soins cliniques courants.
  • Domaines d’exposition : environnements d’ophtalmologie réfractive et clinique, et lorsque possible, un aperçu du déroulement d’une journée chirurgicale.

The Clinical Foundations Course is an accelerated, introductory program that blends self‑paced learning with in‑clinic shadowing. It provides participants with a realistic, hands‑on preview of ophthalmology workflows while giving Vision Group Canada an early opportunity to build relationships with high‑potential candidates.

Target Audience

Students and graduates of science-related university programs, graduates of an Opticianry diploma program, or individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare.

Program Format

  • Self-paced remote learning: Short online modules completed asynchronously, allowing participants to learn on their own schedule.
  • Scheduled observation days in a clinic, for example, 2 to 3 days per week based on operational needs.
  • Accelerated timeline: A program designed to be completed over approximately two weeks during the summer.
  • Assessment: Short knowledge checks, quizzes, and module completion tracking. The goal is to encourage engagement and learning without creating unnecessary evaluation pressure.

Key Learning Themes

  • Core ophthalmic assessments: introductory concepts behind common tests (e.g., tonometry/IOP, visual fields, basic visual assessment)
  • Introduction to commonly used diagnostic tests and procedures in ophthalmology.
  • Essential pharmacology concepts: commonly prescribed ophthalmic medications and their role in routine clinical care.
  • Clinical exposure areas: refractive vs. clinical ophthalmology environments and, where feasible, a glimpse of surgical day workflow.
