This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Commercial Effectiveness Analyst intern in our NL offices in Eindhoven or Amsterdam with Signify.

We are looking for a highly analytical and motivated intern to support our Commercial Effectiveness Analyst team in improving the commercial effectiveness of our global Consumer organization.  

This internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of data, business strategy, and commercial operations, where you will contribute to data-driven decision-making and structural improvements.

You will report to the Global Head of commercial design & performance management and collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders and IT.

As an intern, you will support the continuous improvement of the commercial structure by delivering analytical insights, ensuring data consistency, and enabling effective tools and frameworks. You will help ensure that commercial designs are not only well-defined, but also measurable, scalable, and continuously optimized.

1. Data Analysis & Insight Generation

• Analyze commercial performance data to identify:

  • Inefficiencies

  • Complexity drivers

  • Value leakage

• Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations

• Support scenario analyses  

2. Commercial Framework Support

• Contribute to improving:

  • Segmentation models

  • Pricing architecture

  • Governance frameworks

• Support simplification and standardization initiatives

3. KPI & Data Framework

• Assist in defining and maintaining:

  • KPI logic and calculation methods

  • Data definitions and standards

• Ensure consistency of metrics across regions/markets

• Support data quality and integrity checks

4. Systems & Tooling Support

• Help ensure systems reflect commercial design principles:

  • Pricing structures

  • Approval flows

  • Guardrails

• Contribute to dashboard development and reporting tools

More about you

Education:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

• Econometrics

• Economics

• Data Science

• Business Analytics

• Computer Science

• Statistics

• Finance

• Or a related analytical field

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

• Comfortable working with data (Excel required; SQL/Python is a plus)

• Basic understanding of business/commercial concepts

• Ability to structure complex problems and communicate insights clearly

• Attention to detail and data accuracy

• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn

Nice to Have (experience with):

• Data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

• Data modeling or KPI frameworks

• Process improvement or business analysis

• EU students: To be considered for this internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of this may be requested at any time.

• Non-EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student, and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to have a letter from the university in which it states that your internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals are, and what tasks you will undertake during your internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.
