About the Role

Purpose: 

The purpose of the Aladdin Temp-Rite Internship/Coop program is to provide an experiential learning opportunity to students congruent with their college curriculum while the student is concurrently pursuing their professional degree or certificate.

Student

  1. Provides closer integration of theory and practice in a timely, hands on, real world work environment. Because of the immediacy and varied learning approach, skills are reinforced.
  2. Offers an organized plan of training on-the-job under actual business conditions.
  3. Student will receive course credit for verified skills learned at work.
  4. Provides a balanced school/work schedule that considers the demands of class and study.
  5. Student will be able to earn a competitive wage while completing their degree.
  6. Provides students with the services of skilled professionals as they transition from school to career.
  7. Provides students with the opportunity to explore their career choices prior to making long-term, and costly investments in further training or education.

Aladdin

  1. Introduces the student to Aladdin Temp-Rite culture and work processes to ascertain permanent skill capabilities and company fit.      
  2. Provides ongoing candidate pipeline in critical skilled trades.
  3. Contributes to Aladdin’s commitment to the community in which it does business.
  4. Provides better selection of employees through cooperation of schools' counseling service and area staff.
  5. Improves relationship with Vol State and provides opportunity to have input into the program.
