About the Role

Vitesse Systems is looking for an Engineering Intern to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! The Engineering Intern will work with Mechanical Engineers on design and analysis programs.

The Role

The primary responsibility of the Engineering Intern is to provide support to the Mechanical Engineers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design antenna test assemblies.
  • Design parts for laser welding coupon testing.
  • Design test setup for 3D printed shear strength.
  • Peer review specifications alongside responsible engineers.
  • Create FEA models.
  • Generate mockups for sales.
  • Review sales requirements and work with mechanical engineers to create compliance matrix.
  • Take mechanical engineer models and RF requirements to manufacturing engineering for review.
  • Create test component designs and drawings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar software.
  • Working knowledge of analysis software.
  • Familiarity with composite structural design.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and 3D Printing.
  • Experience assembling and delivering technical presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project management skills, particularly with respect to delivering engineering content necessary to support the production process.
