Position Description

 Job Title: Student Assistant 

 Department: Social Work 

 Reports To: Field Director

 Location: Remote 
 Employment Status: Part time (up to 10 hours/week)


Position Summary


The Student Assistant I will function under the coordination and supervision of the Social Work Field Director and provide administrative support for the Social Work Department’s field internship program. This role ensures the smooth operation of educational and administrative processes, community partnership outreach, student site recruitment, and assists in maintaining compliance with accreditation standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting graduate social work education. 


Specific Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain entry and tracking of records, including those of students, agency partners, and other stakeholders. 
  • Support outreach efforts to identify and recruit new agency partnerships and field education sites. 
  • Assist with processing partnership and field education agreements with external agencies and maintaining database of agency contacts and partnerships. 
  • Assist in planning and implementation of outreach events, presentations, and community engagement activities. 
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and follow-up on action items.
  • Support and coordinate data entry and tracking across platforms 
  • Support the writing, editing, and formatting of accreditation and assessment reports.
  • Provide general administrative support including answering inquiries, maintaining records, editing and formatting documents and databases. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently enrolled as a student in good standing at PAU Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science, humanities, health 
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in higher education or a nonprofit setting. 
  • Experience working with Docusign 
  • Experience working remotely
