CUMULUS | Detroit, MI currently features 2 stations in the Detroit area and surrounding counties.  Our stations include: WJR-760 AM News/Talk and WDVD-96.3 FM Hot Adult Contemporary.  The cluster of 2 stations reaches thousands of listeners on a daily basis.


Position Overview

Cumulus Media Detroit/Ann Arbor is looking for a part-time sports content intern to work within our digital media department. The ideal candidate would be a journalism major with a love for sports and a passion for storytelling.

 

The selected applicant will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with both our broadcast and digital media teams to create compelling narratives of the people, places, and events that make Detroit one of America’s best sports towns.


Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Creative and design responsibilities for client and station brand work across all social media + video platforms as well (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, OTT etc.)
  • Ability to work across multiple platforms including web, print, social and mobile
  • Raise the bar creatively by inspiring team and clients on the elements of good design
  • Thought leadership for creative concepts and execution
    Stay up to speed on industry design trends
  • Attend client meetings and present creative materials and ideas
  • Must have strong project management skills, ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities, anticipate demands, coordinate stringent deadlines, and properly estimate time for work

  • Knowledge of general advertising, marketing and media terminology and processes
  • Wordpress, SEO/SEM

  • Video Production and Strategy
  • Web optimization and content development
  • Must have strong conceptual thinking and designability with proven experience in visual in visual composition across mediums
  • Must be comfortable working in an agile environment with changing demand and deadlines

Pay Range

USD $13.73 - USD $13.73 /Yr.
