About the Role

Supervisor:  Sr. Manager, Guest Experience & Arena Operations

Job Classification:  Non-Exempt

Job Type:  Part-Time, 29 Hours per Week (September - December) 


Summary:


The mission of the Boston Celtics internship program is to educate its participants in all aspects of operating a professional sports organization. Through observation and practical experience, interns learn how to function in a professional environment that requires a high energy level, the ability to perform under pressure and the utilization of essential time management skills. Through these developments, the Boston Celtics strive to successfully prepare their interns to compete for positions in the professional sports industry. 


 Responsibilities: 


    Manage fan facing portals including the Celtics Contact Us page and Customer Service inbox

    Identify areas of improvement through analyzing postgame survey data

    Review and escalate incident reports as necessary

    Execute and organize tasks through multiple platforms, including Archtics & Microsoft Dynamics (CRM)

    Provide ticket support with fan ingress on Celtics home game nights

    Facilitate low-level service recoveries while escalating moderate to high level service recoveries

    Coordinate with other departments to communicate guest experience policies and procedures

    Collaborate with TD Garden Guest Experience department for guest inquiries

    Other projects as assigned


Qualifications: 


    Prior experience in customer service

    Previous similar experience in entertainment/sports/events is preferred

    Excellent verbal and written communications skills

    Strong social skills with the ability to build and maintain favorable relationships

    Ability to apply active listening and conflict management skills

    Ability to be compatible with other departments under many circumstances

    Ability to multi-task and adjust to rapidly changing business conditions

 

Requirements:


    Must be a junior or senior undergraduate student or graduate student

    Academic Credit

    Candidate must provide a demo reel (YouTube/Vimeo links)

    Ability to work scheduled home games and events


The expected range of annual salary/hourly rate and potential commission, if applicable, is included below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this/these range(s) will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market and industry considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, performance, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.                                

Hourly Rate Range: $15.00
