Duties & Responsibilities
The Marketing Communications Intern will support a variety of marketing initiatives and gain hands-on experience across multiple marketing disciplines. Responsibilities may include:
- Assist with the development of marketing content, including blogs, website copy, email campaigns, and promotional materials
- Support social media content creation, scheduling, and engagement efforts
- Collaborate with Creative Services on the development of marketing assets and campaign materials
- Assist with email marketing campaign execution and performance tracking
- Support trade show, event, and promotional marketing activities
- Contribute to internal and external communications initiatives
- Assist with maintaining content calendars, project timelines, and campaign deliverables
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams on lead generation and sales enablement initiatives
- Participate in campaign planning sessions, team meetings, and brainstorming discussions
- Analyze campaign performance and help identify opportunities for improvement
- Complete a capstone project and present key learnings and contributions to leadership at the conclusion of the internship
Experience & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating content for social media, blogs, newsletters, or websites
- Familiarity with social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools
- Exposure to email marketing platforms and marketing automation tools
- Understanding of marketing analytics, campaign reporting, or digital marketing concepts
- Previous internship, campus organization, or project experience related to marketing or communications
