About the Role
 

Are you a hardworking and motivated individual looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the aviation industry and join a dynamic team? If so, Cargo Repair, an FCAH Aerospace brand located in Louisville, KY, is the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to enroll into our Student-Trainee program. While enrolled in our program, you will learn how to repair, refurbish, and rebuild parts and equipment on cargo loading systems across multiple types of aircraft.

Cargo Repair, an FCAH Aerospace brand, is a FAA-145/EASA-approved repair shop certified to perform overhaul and repair maintenance on all Cargo components and cargo loading systems for Boeing, Douglas, and Airbus type fleets.  

What you will be doing…

  • Responsible for repairing and refurbishing parts and equipment on cargo loading systems across multiple types of aircraft in compliance with aviation industry regulations and the repair station's quality standards.
  • Interpret aircraft technical manuals, and electrical drawings along with any processes required by that Overhaul Manual (OHM) or Component Maintenance Manual (CMM).  
  • Perform efficient troubleshooting and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer's instructions, and organization policies.
  • Conduct functional tests of aircraft systems after maintenance or repairs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities in accordance with Part 145 regulations.
  • Ensure your work area is neat, clean, and in safe condition.
  • Use proper safety equipment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for…

You will need to:

  • Currently be enrolled in an Airframe and Powerplant program.
  • Mechanical and Mathematical aptitude.
  • Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
