POSITION SUMMARY: 


This position will support Alsum Farms & Produce, Inc. by assisting with social media content creation, employee engagement highlights, recruitment marketing, and company branding efforts. This entry-level internship is designed for an individual who is creative, detail-oriented, organized, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in marketing, communications, social media, and employer branding.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Create and schedule social media posts for platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other company-approved channels. 
  • Assist with taking photos and videos of employees, company events, recruitment activities, community involvement, and workplace culture. 
  • Help develop content that highlights Alsum’s values, departments, job opportunities, and employee stories. 
  • Support recruitment marketing by creating posts for open positions and hiring events. 
  • Assist with writing captions, short employee spotlights, announcements, and event summaries. 
  • Help maintain a professional and consistent company brand across social media platforms. 
  • Monitor social media engagement and assist with tracking basic analytics such as likes, shares, comments, and post reach. 
  • Assist with creating flyers, graphics, and simple marketing materials as needed. 
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and leadership to promote employee appreciation, safety, training, and company events. 
  • Ensure all content is professional, respectful, and aligned with company policies and values. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Human Resources, Graphic Design, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.  
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok preferred. 
  • Experience with Canva, Microsoft Office, or basic design tools is helpful but not required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment when posting or handling company information. 

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office, warehouse, production, or farm areas as needed. 
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to use a computer, phone, camera, or mobile device for content creation. 
  • Must be able to follow safety guidelines when entering production, warehouse, or farm areas.
