Wage/Salary: $20.27per hr  ( Effective July 1st, 2026 )

Job Description:  

  • Processes work orders by replying to request, troubleshooting, repair & recovery. 
  • Sets up computer, email, and network, software installation/upgrades and minor hardware repairs. 
  • Assists Lead IT Technician with inventory management for accuracy. 
  • Assists Lead IT Technician that software licenses are in compliance, setting hardware and information security virus protection is updated, and back up is being performed.
  • Assists Lead IT Technician with maintaining computer and software inventory list. 
  • Assists Lead IT Technician with coordinating software & hardware repairs with the manufacturer/software developer. 
  • Assists Lead IT Technician with printer setup and connectivity, and coordinates repairs with the printer service vendor. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

   

Qualifications:
   

  • Must be currently enrolled at SFSU with a minimum of 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates. 
  • Computer Science or Technology related major preferred.
  • Knowledge in computer/science hardware, network infrastructure, OS & applications in both Macintosh and Windows environment.
  • Focused customer service, organized and good time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests/projects and prioritize workload that provides excellent IT Help Desk service.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude while working under pressure, and meet deadlines with constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently.
