About the Role

Demonstrate strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn while supporting engineering projects and daily operations. Successfully assist with design, analysis, documentation, and process improvement initiatives. Consistently display professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members while developing practical engineering skills.


Duties/Deliverables: 

  1. Documentation updates
    1. Production document package (PDP’s) Backlog
    2. Eliminate PDP backlog and ensure all production packages are current and accessible
    3. Create a standardized digital PDP system with a tracking log
  2. QR code and identification system (dependent on use of SolidWorks)
    1. Improve traceability and quick access to applicator information
    2. Link database to excel or SharePoint 
    3. Key parameters (crimp height, lease date, and part number)
  3. Fixture master list with part numbers and locations 
  4. ECC Pin Depth Testing Improvement
    1. Improve reliability and consistency of pin depth testing while reducing equipment cost
    2. Assign unique part numbers to all fixtures and label them with QR codes. Build a centralized database listing all fixtures, their applications, and locations.
  5. Tool & Workplace organization 
    1. Improve tool accessibility and reduce time wasted searching for tool
    2. Design and implement a labeled tool rack system for wrenches, ratchets, and bits. Use shadow boards and identification labels for visual organization and accountability.
  6. Design / Redesign projects 
    1. Improve inspection efficiency, ergonomics, and standardization across quality stations.
  7.  Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Diploma/GED/or equivalent

Skills: 

  • Microsoft Office
  • Auto Cad
  • SolidWorks (must have)
  • Ability to read and use metric measurements
  • Ability to read prints 
  • Arithmetic skills for measurement: (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions)

Preferred:

Actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering degree program
