Position Summary

LLH Healthcare is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Undergraduate Summer Intern to support our Underwriting and Operations teams. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare underwriting, data analysis, financial modeling, and business operations within a growing healthcare organization.

The Underwriting Analyst Intern will assist with analyzing data, preparing reports, evaluating trends, and supporting strategic projects that help drive informed business decisions. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and learning how analytical insights support business growth and client success.

Key Responsibilities

Underwriting & Data Analysis

• Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to healthcare programs and client performance.
• Support the review of utilization, financial, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Help prepare underwriting analyses and pricing models for prospective and existing clients.
• Conduct research and compile information to support business recommendations.

Reporting & Project Support

• Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
• Assist with data validation and quality assurance efforts.
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
• Prepare summaries and insights for leadership review.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Operations, Finance, and Client Success teams to support ongoing business initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to client and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Rising sophomore, junior, or senior with strong academic performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
