Job Summary: 

Technician position works under the general supervision of project engineer and senior

level professionals. Position includes conducting onsite construction observation and testing services

including nuclear gauge field density testing, earthwork operations, and foundation installations

Duties:

• Field observation and testing.

• Reviewing plans and specifications for conformance with the intent of geotechnical

recommendations.

• Performing laboratory testing.

• Must be able to learn software for communication, project management, and technical analysis

• Collecting and compiling geotechnical, geologic, and seismic data from public sources.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, regulations, and technical information; and

write documents with clarity using good grammar.

• Work cooperatively as part of a team, interacting effectively with co-workers, clients, and

vendors; exhibit creativity and good problem-solving skills

• Working responsibly, safely and in a manner that reflects well upon the firm.

Education/Qualifications: 

High School Diploma

Certifications/Licenses: Driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record

The required skills such as communication and organizational abilities are essential for effectively coordinating with diverse teams and managing project documentation on a daily basis. Your foundational knowledge of construction principles will enable you to understand project requirements and contribute meaningfully to site activities. Preferred skills like familiarity with construction software and safety regulations will enhance your efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards, and foster a safe and productive work environment.
