About the Role

As a Customer & Distribution Intern, you'll be immersed in the world of corporate insurance, supporting our team in analyzing market trends, preparing client presentations, and contributing to strategic initiatives. This is your chance to apply classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges while building valuable industry connections.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support data analysis and help identify trends to inform customer engagement strategies
  • Assist in preparing client and broker meeting materials and presentations
  • Contribute to market research projects to identify emerging opportunities
  • Help coordinate client and broker events and engagement activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Underwriting, Claims, and Risk Engineering
  • Learn about Swiss Re's insurance products and solutions through hands-on project work
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute fresh perspectives to business discussions
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools for client and broker interactions

 

 

About the Team

The Canadian Customer & Distribution Management (CDM) team is responsible for the execution of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' approach and excellence in customer and distribution practices to effectively support the region's strategic objectives through our key clients and broker trading partners.

 

 

About You

You're a curious and motivated university student with strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills. You're eager to learn about the insurance industry and ready to contribute your fresh perspective while developing professional skills in a corporate environment.

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of university studies in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Genuine interest in learning about the insurance industry

 

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Previous internship or work experience in a professional setting
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Understanding of basic insurance concepts
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities

 

 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
