About the Role

Are you ready to dive into the world of Tax and Technology? 

Join ASML's Tax and Customs team and be a part of an exciting journey where Tax meets Technology! Our vision is to add value to ASML by ensuring compliance with tax and customs laws, leading to consistent and sustainable global income tax levels and trade tax costs. To achieve this, we're committed to leveraging technology to digitize our tax function.

We are driving an ambitious technology roadmap to ensure we are adopting the right technologies to be ready for the future. This roadmap includes initiatives around the optimal setup of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, efficient data management, advanced analytics, and implementing technologies to support our tax and customs processes.

Your assignment

As an intern, you will be actively involved in our technology roadmap, contributing to projects that will improve the way we work. You'll collaborate with experts from various fields and gain valuable skills in data automation, analytics, and AI.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting projects in the area of process automation, data analytics, and AI, gaining hands‑on experience with real tax use cases.

  • Working together with regional tax & customs teams and subject‑matter experts to identify process improvement opportunities.

  • Assisting in the development, testing, and implementation of new tools, dashboards, and AI solutions.

  • Supporting the team with the adoption of new ways of working, such as the use of workflows and AI.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and tax, within a large global high-tech organization. You'll have the flexibility to balance your university coursework with your internship, and you'll be part of a supportive and inclusive team. Your tasks will be varied and tailored to your background and preferences, ensuring a challenging and nice experience.

This is a final year bachelor or master internship (non thesis) for 6 months, with possibility to extend up to a maximum of 12 months. The internship is for 3-5 days per week (2/3 days on-site). The internship preferably starts in September 2026. The location of this internship is in Veldhoven (The Netherlands).

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

  • Are enrolled in a program such as, Accounting, Tax Law, Fiscal Economics, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or something related.

  • You are passionate about technology, data & AI, particularly in their application within the finance and/or tax domain.

  • Are analytical, pro-active and eager to learn.

  • Have a keen interest to develop your skills in a challenging and dynamic business environment;

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
