The Risk Management Function is based in Luxembourg and comprises the Head of the Permanent Risk Management Function, a Risk Manager and a Risk Analyst and it bears responsibility for overseeing all risk identification, measurement, monitoring, management, reporting, and if needed escalation and remediation of breaches.

As capital markets and client expectations evolve and change, we have seen increased client interest in sustainable investment practices and strategies. In concert with these shifts, Wellington has launched a number of bottom-up initiatives, including starting new investment strategies and working groups focused on climate assessment, environmental, social, and governance integration, and impact investments.

When launching a sub-fund, the Risk Management Function will review its sustainability risk exposure and document it in the sub-fund’s initial risk profile. We use different metrics to monitor the environmental, social and governance risk of our investments.
