Job Description:

COSTI is hiring two Summer Interns to support daytoday IT operations across multiple sites. You will help set up and retire computers and peripherals, support basic troubleshooting, and keep IT inventory accurate and organized. This role is ideal for students pursuing IT support, systems, or technology operations.

This is a full‑time summer internship scheduled to work 35 hours per week

DUTIES        

  • Set up, image/configure, tag, and deploy desktops/laptops and peripherals.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding by preparing and decommissioning equipment.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting for Windows PCs/laptops, monitors, docks, and printers (under supervision).
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, label, track, and document IT assets.
  • Assist with equipment audits across locations.
  • Wipe/retire equipment following IT procedures; organize storage areas and support workspace/cable cleanup.
  • Follow documented processes and security guidelines; assist with operational tasks and special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college/university program in IT, Computer Science, Networking/Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows PCs/laptops and common peripherals (e.g., monitors, docks, printers).
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to follow documented procedures.
  • Professional communication and a service‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment (up to approx. 25 lbs) and travel between COSTI locations as needed.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to complete required background checks.

ASSETS

  • Prior help desk/IT support or hardware setup experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and Windows 10/11.
  • Experience with asset tracking/inventory systems or spreadsheets.

                       

Hourly Rate:

$24.79-$24.79
