About The Company
We accept 36 students to the program each spring. Our first cohort graduated in 2016, and we continue to graduate cohorts each year. Our program mission focuses on primary care medicine and underserved populations. The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Gardner-Webb University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Gardner-Webb University. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
About the Role

The Athletic Graduate Intern at Gardner-Webb University is responsible for promoting and assisting an environment where the administration, supervision and management of his or her intercollegiate sport within the parameters of the rules and regulations of Gardner-Webb University and the NCAA.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Recruiting:

· Assist our coaching staff with posts and stories to put on IG and any other social media outlets to send to recruits

· Weekly post of games for recruits and coaches

· Spreadsheet of recruit’s games – tournament schedules, HS games

· Official and Unofficial visits on campus

Practice:

· In the office 30 minutes early to prep for practice

· Assist coaches with fall ball and spring practices

· Individual practice with players (including film breakdown)

Scouting:

· Clips and edits from Hudl and or Just Play

· Personnel on the physical scout and personnel edit for the coaches

· Scouting plays on Hudl and or Just Play

· Print physical scouts for players and coaches

Game duties and responsibilities:

· Help with game itinerary for other teams

· Coach your position - collaborate with coaches

· After game, helps clean up home field

· Assist with travel itinerary – away games / scrimmages

Other Duties:

· Assist the Equipment Coach as needed with equipment

· Assist with Camp

· Adhere to NCAA, University and Big South Rules and Policies

· Duties as assigned by Coach Harris



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

● NCAA experience preferred

● Valid driver’s license, and eligibility to drive a college van.

● BA or equivalent combination of education and experience

● Effective communication, interpersonal and public relation skills

● Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and enthusiastic team attitude

● Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work harmoniously with diverse groups of students, faculty and staff

● Experience planning, developing and administering budgets helpful

● Acceptance into a Gardner-Webb Master’s program required
