Patients at OAM will have access to our Specialized Surgeons, Physical and Occupational Therapists, MRI and X-ray services, and orthopaedic bracing. Patients are also able to receive care from our Bone Health Clinic, OAM Now Urgent Orthopaedic Care Clinic, and Surgery Center at MidTowne – all of which are committed to optimizing their treatment outcomes.

Position Summary
The Marketing Intern supports OAM by assisting with the development, coordination, and execution of marketing and communication initiatives that promote the organization’s services, providers, and community presence. This role provides hands-on experience in healthcare marketing through exposure to digital marketing, content creation, social media management, event coordination, and brand development activities. The Marketing Intern collaborates with team members, physicians, clinical departments, and external vendors to ensure marketing efforts align with organizational goals and brand standards. The position offers valuable opportunities to learn healthcare marketing strategies while contributing to projects that enhance patient engagement, community awareness, and organizational growth. The Marketing Intern serves as a professional representative of OAM and helps support initiatives that strengthen the organization’s reputation as a leading provider of musculoskeletal care. Through creativity, organization, and attention to detail, this role contributes to the success of OAM’s marketing and communication efforts.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
- Create, edit, and organize marketing content for social media, websites, email communications, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Support the maintenance and updating of website content to ensure information remains accurate and current.
- Monitor and report on social media engagement, campaign performance, and digital marketing metrics.
- Assist with photography, videography, and content gathering activities for marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate the collection and organization of marketing assets, including photos, graphics, videos, and branded materials.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and marketing opportunities.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all internal and external communications.
- Prepare marketing reports, presentations, and project summaries as assigned.
- Assist with the review and proofreading of marketing materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain organized records of marketing projects, vendor communications, and campaign materials.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to marketing projects and departmental operations.
- Comply with all organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Graphic Design, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in marketing, communications, healthcare, or brand management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Preferred:
- Previous internship, volunteer, academic, or work experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, or related areas.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with graphic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Interest in healthcare marketing and patient engagement strategies.

Motor, Sensory, and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office and clinical environments for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
- Visual acuity sufficient to review marketing materials, digital content, and reports.
- Auditory ability sufficient to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, patients, and community partners.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and transport marketing materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel locally to support community events and outreach activities as needed.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements associated with computer use.
