About the Role

Description

  • Fulfill all assigned tasks, projects and responsibilities assigned with limited supervision.
  • Write new or revise manufacturing procedures to document required processes in a clear, concise, and visual manner.
  • Work with manufacturing technicians to determine root cause and implement corrective actions to quality or other problems on the production floor.
  • Recommend and implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to make improvements on the production floor.
  • Design tools or fixtures for use on the production floor.
  • Develop new or revised methods for effective and efficient manufacturing


Requirements

  • Required course work completion in an undergraduate or graduate level applicable engineering program (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production engineering, or other). A 3rd or 4th year undergraduate level or higher is preferred, with an earlier level possible if applicable competent skills.
  • Required technical writing skills, with experience writing manufacturing procedures as a preferred skill.
  • Required 3D and 2D CAD design experience, with Catia and/or Solidworks experience preferred.
  • Required experience with applicable manufacturing processes such as composites manufacturing, machining, adhesive bonding, assembly, or inspection processes.
  • Required knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma principles; experience implementing principles is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office skill
