About the Role

Description

Who we are:

Indefi is a fast-growing strategy consulting firm that serves financial investors (private equity specialists, generalist asset managers, wealth managers, etc.). Established in 2007, we are a team of 80+ consultants with offices in Paris, Lyon, Madrid and London.

We operate through three business units:

  • Sustainability Advisory: We help our clients define and deliver their Responsible Investment strategy and operating model. We work across the value chain to support investors and portfolio companies in defining and embedding their chosen approach to ESG and sustainability impact.

  • Private Equity: We help private equity firms make better investment decisions at every stage of the deal life cycle and build greater returns. We also advise on investment firm strategy and development, creating value through improved performance.

  • Corporate Strategy: We conduct strategic development projects for global asset managers, including business strategy, market entry, distribution strategy, new product development, non-organic growth, and investment process enhancement.

As part of our local and international development, we are looking for postgraduate students or recent graduates from top-tier business and engineering schools/universities to join us as Strategy Consultant Interns in Private Equity for our Lyon office in January.

Mission:

Driven by a senior consultant or manager, you’ll take part in several international projects covering a wide range of challenging topics: market and competitive analysis, strategic reviews, business planning, strategic and sustainability due diligences, business development strategies, etc.

Your main responsibilities as a Strategy Consultant Intern will be:

  • Data collection and analysis;

  • Field research and interviews with market experts;

  • Support in delivering strategic recommendations at the senior executive level;

  • Attending meetings with clients and partners. As such, you will be in contact with the main players in Asset Management and Private Equity in France and Europe;

Your Profile:

  • About to graduate from a top business or engineering school, looking for your end-of-studies internship in January 2027;

  • Work experience at either strategy consulting firms, strategy divisions, or M&A departments of international groups, investment banks, asset management, or private equity firms;

  • Strong skills and experience in Microsoft PowerPoint and good knowledge of Excel;

  • Good knowledge of Private Equity topics;

  • Full fluency in French and English is mandatory.

  • A good working knowledge of other European languages would be a plus.

We are looking to strengthen our team with highly talented individuals showing a combination of exceptional intellectual ability, analytical skills, and business sense.

The preferred candidates should be motivated to take responsibility quickly, demonstrate an ownership mentality, and have the ability to seize opportunities and make a difference.

Why join us:

  • Work with a talented, multicultural team that shares strong values: collaboration, curiosity, impact, and entrepreneurship;

  • Career development through a structured onboarding program, individual mentoring and coaching, and tailored career paths;
