Job DetailsJob Location: Olathe - Olathe, KS 66062Position Type: InternshipJob Shift: DayJob Category: InternshipPosition Title: Marketing Intern Department: Marketing Reports to: EVP of HR or Marketing Manager   Vermeer Great Plains – 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED COMPANY An authorized distributor for Vermeer equipment in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Western Missouri with five branch locations across the region.  A 100% employee-owned company, we provide dedicated sales, rentals, parts, and service support for customers in the tree care, landscaping, wood waste, organic recycling, underground construction, and mining industries.    POSITION FUNCTION:  The Marketing Intern supports the Vermeer Great Plains Marketing team while participating in a structured, hands-on development experience. This role focuses on building foundational marketing, communication, and creative skills through real-world projects, guided work, and collaboration across departments.   Working alongside the Marketing Communication Specialist and internal teams, the Marketing Intern contributes to marketing initiatives that support brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth while developing professional and technical capabilities.   WHAT YOU’LL DO & HOW YOU’LL GROW Assist with updating and maintaining sales materials, including product guides and internal resources using tools such as Adobe InDesign and Canva  Support the creation of marketing content, including newsletters, email campaigns, and promotional materials  Assist in developing and scheduling social media content across platforms to support engagement and brand awareness  Participate in content creation efforts, including video production, editing, and digital media development  Contribute to the creation of marketing campaigns, including used equipment promotions and targeted communications  Support website updates and landing page development to enhance user experience and performance  Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative marketing ideas and campaigns  Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing needs across departments Gain exposure to emerging platforms and content trends (e.g., short-form video, social media trends) Professional Growth Expectations: Demonstrate consistent effort, engagement, and willingness to learn  Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and stakeholders  Apply feedback to improve content quality, creativity, and execution  Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in all marketing materials  Manage multiple projects and deadlines with organization and accountability  Stay curious and engaged with marketing trends, tools, and creative approaches QualificationsYOUR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Commitment to VGP’s Mission, Vision, and L.E.T.S.
