The Opportunity

Join SMEC as an Undergraduate Engineer and gain paid, real-world experience alongside your studies.

You’ll work on live projects, build technical capability, and develop your understanding of consulting — all while studying.

 

Your Role

As an Undergraduate Engineer, you will:

  • Support engineering design, modelling and analysis
  • Assist with technical reports and project documentation
  • Contribute to project delivery across multidisciplinary teams
  • Gain exposure to site work and field activities (where relevant)

You’ll build practical skills across both technical and consulting environments, setting you up for a graduate role.

 

About You

We’re looking for students who:

  • Are studying Engineering (civil, structural, environmental, mechanical, electrical or similar)
  • Have an interest in infrastructure, sustainability or the built environment
  • Are proactive, curious and eager to learn
  • Work well in collaborative team environments
