ING in Asia Pacific

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Agency Services Asia Team do in ING?

Agency Services Asia undertakes deals where ING acts as a Facility Agent / Security Agent. 

A facility agent acts as the primary point of contact between the transaction parties to a syndicated loan. Whilst appointed to co-ordinate communication between clients, lenders and business partners, the Facility agent is also responsible for handling the flow of funds and providing on-going transaction support during the lifecycle of a deal.

In their role as facility agent (and/or security agent) the agency team are part of an agency platform and oversee a wide range of deals originating from various industry sectors including but not exclusive to, Diversified Corporates, Financial Institutions (predominately Insurance and Investment Funds), Transportation, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Acquisition Finance. 

Our portfolio has diversified deals, and we work closely with the Business Units in Asia - Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Seoul, Taipei, Tokyo.

What would you be doing?

  • To assist the Deal Leads in:

    • Collating of security documents received from external legal counsels

    • Ensuring that the documents stipulated in the Agreement are received, in order and vaulted

    • Liaising with legal counsels on pending documents to be received

    • Monitoring of financial and covenants that are due

  • To handle simple administration tasks related to loan financing, i.e. Repricing, Prepayment, Scheduled Repayment, etc

  • Any other tasks assigned by the Deal Leads

  • Will be able to have a view of Front Office, Middle Office & Back Office processes

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications (especially in Word & Excel)

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • Some knowledge of banking process

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision on tasks that have been assigned

  • Being self-motivated and ambitious for personal development are appreciated traits
